Nursery Roundup

The New Year has us thinking about new life, which leads us to thinking about nursery design! Tapping into our own experience as parents (or, in some cases, as kids!), we’ve enjoyed creating beautiful and functional children’s spaces for our clients and their littles. Here, we’ve rounded up some of our past designs and what we love about them.

OLIVE’S NURSERY

Starting with Olive’s Nursery (which you can read more about in this post)! We loved creating this space for our friend Tara (Hainsworth&Co) and baby Olive and recently were able to create a special “big girl” room for her that we’re excited to share soon. With Olive’s nursery, our goal was to create a space that had a bit of femininity to it without going over the top so Mom and Dad could both enjoy it equally.

BABY E’s NURSERY

When it came to E’s nursery, we wanted to create something that had the feel of sweet innocence new life brings but could easily transition as she grows. With traditional wainscotting covering the walls, we added a playful touch with Sherwin Williams’ Peach Fuzz to the ceiling and incorporated imaginative and interactive spaces throughout the room that tie in the warm peachy color. We finished the space with a gallery wall of wildflower sketches and a cozy boucle chair for snuggle sessions.

Sweet P’s NURSERY

We loved creating this nursery for sweet baby P! Mom and Dad had already been working on updating their home (full post coming soon!) and it was so fun getting to plan this nursery to incorporate seamlessly into the rest of the home’s design. For her room, we wanted a pallet that was warm but calming and neutral with a touch of muted color. We decided on this gorgeous Sherwin Williams Clary Sage for the wall color. To add in more warmth we added terracotta, ivory and wood tones and brought in natural elements and texture like jute, wool, boucle, feathers, tassels and cane. We love how this room came to life and gives the feeling of bringing the outside in.

BABY A’s NURSERY

A’s nursery was really fun because he was already about to be a big brother when we started planning his room! We knew the two brothers would need a fun and playful space that could keep them entertained but also provide a soft landing from inevitable tumbles, so we layered rugs and found a room friendly slide. We chose a dark navy mudcloth inspired wallpaper from CC Textiles which created a rich backdrop for some of the lighter pieces.

BABY M’s NURSERY

For M’s Nursery, it was important that we create a space that he could easily grow into and that didn’t feel exceptionally “baby”. We were able to use some of the existing furniture and added in another fun wallpaper design from CC Textiles. Art, a cozy rocker for Mom and Dad and easy storage completed this playful and adventure inspiring nursery.
