Tips for Styling Your Christmas Greens

Nothing warms up a home more for the holidays than a beautifully decorated mantle and front porch! We like to keep things simple, using fresh greens as the focal point of each of these spaces. The LGD team paired up with local Arizona florist, Haleigh of Flora by Haleigh, to create two welcoming front door looks and two cozy mantles that we love!

First and foremost, we must emphasize that EVERYONE can do this! We purchased everything at our local hardware store, Trader Joe’s and plant nursery. You can even stop by your local Christmas tree farm and ask them for trimmings they may be willing to share.

We began with decorating our Airbnb, the Greenfield, which is always such a fun space to decorate for the holidays. For the front porch, we stacked several different types of holiday trees and shrubs on each side of the doors and hung a beautiful wreath created by Haleigh between the double doors. For your holiday trees and shrubs, pick up some large planters or baskets from Target or World Market to place them in. Because the Greenfield doesn’t have a mantle, we nailed a pine branch directly onto the fireplace, it’s simple, festive and free! When building the garland, Haleigh used multiple types of greens, including evergreens, pine and eucalyptus.

The second space we decorated was at Lexi’s home! We hung another traditional cedar garland around her front door paired with holiday shrubs and trees. For her mantle, we placed a beautiful garland filled with lots of eucalyptus and sprigs of evergreen, taper candles and candle holders. See below for further photo inspiration. We hope you enjoy our holiday greenery and hope you have the best Christmas!
