30 Days of Thankful

We are celebrating all the little and big things that bring us joy this November! Our LGD team members shared some of our favorite things we are most thankful for!

  1. Pretty tablescapes! Tablescapes are one of our favorite things about the holidays, expecially Thanksgiving! We hope this inspires you to create your own Thanksgiving tablescape!

  2. Our very own Ally expecting her first baby! Ally has always wanted to be a mom and couldn’t be more excited to bring a little one into this world that is the perfect mix of her and her husband!

  3. The Right to Vote. This year was an election year and we are so grateful to have the ability to vote and for those who went before us to make sure our voices will be heard!

  4. Maggie is thankful for cooler temps to get cozy and slip on fuzzy slippers and light her favorite candle.

  5. The Ability to Learn! We are all so thankful for the ability to learn something new each day. Lexi remembers years ago telling a friend, who was a serious learner, that she was done learning. Her brain hurt and she didn’t want to do it anymore. Learning can be hard and uncomfortable but these past few years, she decided that not wanting to learn was not a choice and something about being uncomfortable brings growth and humility. We are so thankful for each and every person that takes the time and energy to teach us!

  6. Jenna is grateful for traveling! She says “It always feeds my soul! Experiencing other cultures, seeing beautiful communities & meeting new people. I am thankful to have recently visited Tulum, get a breath of fresh air on the beach, and stay in some GORGEOUS hotels.

  7. Libbie is thankful for her sisters. She said, “Our childhood home in Montana is my favorite place to be (especially during the holidays) when we are all together under one roof.” Also fun fact: Libbie and her sisters are triplets!

  8. Disneyland! April and her family cannot wait to visit again soon and make up for lost time while riding all the rides and meeting all the characters!

  9. Adoption! November 9 was World Adoption Day and Lexi is so thankful for the impact its had on her family. She’s also thankful for her amazing first-mom who chose life for their beautiful girl. She is brave, strong, and selfless. She blessed Lexi’s family while her own heart was breaking. There are no words that can truly express their thankfulness for her and her decisions. Lexi also said, “I am thankful for the community who supports us and our adoption journey. Those that prayed for us, those who supported us, those that are resources for us, both, birth families who have placed, and adult adoptees who share their experiences. And my girl - I am thankful for you. You are teaching me to be a mom in a whole new way. A way where my love feels way bigger, stronger, and more protective and fierce. You are joy, you are light, you are everything amazing.”

  10. Toni is extra grateful for Pumpkin Bread. It’s homemade and the smells, taste, and countless memories gives her the sweetest reminder of gratitude. For the recipe, head over to our “30 DaysThankful” highlight on Instagram!

  11. Ally is thankful for Starbucks curing her pregnancy cravings! She loves their bacon gouda sandwich, birthday cake pops, and an iced coffee with sweet cream cold foam, caramel, and cinnamon dolce sprinkles! Delicious!

  12. Libbie loves her some Arizona sunsets! No matter the season or day, she can always count on the AZ sky to finish her day with a display of color and warmth.

  13. April is thankful for the opportunity she had to complete a kitchen renovation in her own home! The memories she is about to make cooking there with and for her family is right around the corner. She plans to cook a full spread!

  14. Toni feels thankful for cool nights and cozy blankets. Whether it is outside by the fire or sitting at a soccer game, there is something so renewing and vitalizing about fall in Phoenix to her. It’s like we can all breathe a little easier.

  15. Lexi is feeling super grateful that Seahawks season is upon us! It’s her and her family’s favorite time of the year! Growing up, she would go to games with her Dad at the Kingdome. Some of her favorite memories involves the Seahawks, including her wedding to Chris! She’s so thankful the kiddos are just as big of 12’s as they are!

16. Snowboarding is what Jenna is most grateful for! The snowboarding season is upon us! She cannot wait to get back out there to ride and play in the snow. Let’s hope for a good dump of snow in Flagstaff this year!

17. We are all so grateful for our pets! Lexi is thankful for her pup, Pete. Chris and her had a dog when they first got married and she was their baby and their ring bearer in the wedding! After they had real babies, she unfortunately passed and they never thought they’d get a dog again. Lexi is so thankful they made the decision to get another one because Pete has been the best dog for their crazy family. He’s the most laidback one of them all! Toni loves her fuzzy old English Sheepdog named Walt. She feels unconditionally loved by him! As does Jenna with her Bernedoodle pup Bonnie (or Bon Bon). She brings extra laughter, love, and cuddles to their home and is the biggest social butterfly. She’s been the best addition during this long Covid season. Libby is thankful for her little 10 week old fluff, Ivy. She brings so much energy, joy, and entertainment to her home. Maggie also is thankful for her kitties, Ginny and Sophia. They provide unconditional love and the best snuggles. Plus they are cute and hilarious! Ally is thankful for her dog Oakley and cat Moose. Her furry children make every day brighter with their snuggles, wrestles, and pure love. We truly don’t deserve animals! And April is thankful for her very sweet dog, Teddy. He’s extremely lazy, infinitely patient with the kids, and endlessly kind and loyal. They are so lucky to call him theirs!

18. Framily! It means friends that are like family, aka framily.

19. Libbie is thankful for celebrations that are filled with yummy food, good music, dancing and people she loves!

20. Maggie is grateful she was able to sneak her wedding in at the end of last year before COVID! She made a stunning bride!

21. Lexi is grateful for her mother-in-law! She is the ULTIMATE Grandma and has supported their family in so many ways... kid watcher, craft do-er, banana bread maker, school picker-upper, toy fixer, hug giver, grocery shopper, lost things finder, quarantine online school teacher, experience maker... LGD wouldn’t be here without her support!

22. April is thankful for snow! She loves the warm weather and is happiest poolside, but boy does she love snow sledding and skiing! It works that we can escape the heat for some snow in a quick car ride!

23. Toni loves some fresh greens! She is thankful to have them around her home to give life and lift everyone’s spirits.

24. Maggie is feeling extra grateful for joining the LGD team! She is thankful for being able to join an awesome team of ladies!

25. Lexi is thankful for Noa G. and Copper B! These two cousins have even made up their own theme song. Lexi is so thankful, that even though they live states away, their cousin bond is strong and their love is big. There are month-long countdowns to visits, and huge tears when it’s time to say goodbye (and for days before in anticipation). She is so very thankful for Copper B, the way she loves her “No-eee” is like none other.

26. We are thankful for all the projects we have been able to work on this year and for your support through it all. We are wishing everyone the happiest Thanksgiving!

27. Ally is grateful for Flagstaff. It's where some of her favorite things are! Like her family home, hiking in Sedona at Devil's Bridge, Schnebly Hill, being able to escape the desert, play in the snow, and enjoy our fireplace at home.

28. Door Dash! Lexi is especially thankful for Door Dash. “Hands down it has been the way my family has been fed 80% of the time. Thank you Door Dash for feeding my children!!! And satisfying my weekly cravings!” Thai food always!

29. This is a given, but we are so thankful for our families and the way they show support of LGD and each of us. Love you all!

30. We are excited for Christmas! We’re showcasing a sneak peak from our 2020 Holiday shoot that we will be sharing soon throughout the month of December over on our Instagram! Check it out!
