Alex Morgan’s Coastal Nursery Reveal

When our friend, Jacquelyn, with 1up Sports Marketing reached out to ask us if we’d design Alex Morgan’s nursery for her second baby, we were thrilled! We all know Alex to be an incredible athlete, inspiration, and female sport's advocate. After working with her closely to bring this space to completion, we have gotten to know her as an incredible mother, sweet client and friend. Our design team was so happy to create this beautiful nursery inspired by the surf in their coastal town of Encinitas, CA, for their baby boy.
Lead by our Design Manager, Paige, the design is anchored by Portola Paints roman clay walls in “Waved,” a perfectly light neutral blue. Our team brought in a nod to driftwood and the natural tones of the coastline with an oak slat wall installation. We chose a dark wood crib, linen pendant and soft greige bookshelf, gifted by Crate & Kids, and paired them with a burled wood dresser and dark chocolate glider sourced from Babylist. The window treatments are one of our team’s favorite details, with the subtle pattern in a complementary hue, custom made using Schumacher Fabrics. TheWe incorporated some of our LGD styling, including one of a kind and found pieces we drove in with us from AZ for the install.
Babylist partnered with Alex, providing many of the accessories seen in these images, selected by our design team to complete the nursery for Alex and her family. We’re so excited for Alex, Servando and Charlie who welcomed sweet Baby Enzo this week, and for the many memories they will make together in this space.
