Simple & Sweet Valentine's Gifts

Who doesn’t love LOVE!? And while we absolutely love Valentine’s Day over at LGD, it’s sometimes tough to prepare for this holiday since it takes place right as we are recovering from all the major holiday celebrations.

That said, it’s still not a holiday to forget! We compiled some of our favorite quick and easy, but still very thoughtful, Valentine’s gifts in a pinch. There are so many loves in our lives, and these gifts are perfect for your best friend, teachers, clients, parents and of course, your significant other.

LGD is all about being intentional with our gift giving and we hope that this brings you quick inspiration for those that you love most.

Write a love letter to your significant other.

We love a unique card that you can’t find at a big box store!

Bake (or buy) something sweet!

Something baked with love will always make your Valentine smile….. or just buy something sweet bc it’s yummy either way!

Go on a mini adventure!

Take a break and get away! Even if it’s just for the afternoon.

  • Take a walk or hike. We love visiting the Boyce Thompson Arboretum

  • Go for a drive. It doesn’t matter where! Just turn on your favorite music and GO! Pick a town you’ve never been to before and have had no reason to visit and just head that way.

Keep it classic and send a bouquet of flowers or plant!

  • Camelback Flowershop has curated valentine boxes and arrangements, tailored for every Valentine you have!

  • Pueblo Life Phoenix Shop is one of our favorite local nurseries, grab a plant for your Valentine with a green thumb!

  • CB2 Terracotta Planter If you need a planter to go with the new plant!

  • Fresh Sends If your special someone is not nearby, Fresh Sends creates and delivers unique flower bouquets with a custom complimentary card. Just be sure to order a few days in advance!

Make a dinner reservation or prepare a delicious meal at home…. (or order in!)

  • Some of our current favorite local restaurants are Tratto, The Mission, Francine and Glai Baan.

  • If you would prefer to stay home this Valentines and want to impress your significant other or friend, Half Baked Harvest has the most delicious and beautiful recipes to create. They are simple and easy too!

  • If you don’t have time to get to the grocery store but still would like to stay home, order a meal kit from Sun Basket.

  • We have been eying Cloth & Flame for so long now. Their dinners and events look so dreamy and beautiful. They host and create unique culinary experiences all throughout the valley. Purchase your ticket for one of their upcoming experiences!

If you need something delicious to sip, or something pretty to sip out of, check out these links!

  1. Sauvage PHX - local to Phx!

  2. Miraval Rosé

  3. CB2 Eve Coupe Cocktail Glasses

  4. Estelle Blush Pink Colored Stemware

Gift your Valentine something that will make them feel good.

For the guys…

  1.  Ship craft beer to them via Craft Shack or Tavour! Or a coffee subscription from Press Coffee.

  2. Gift them a gift card to a local brewery. We love Wren House, Wilderness and Huss Brewing.

  3. Set up a round of golf at your local course.

  4. A couple’s massage at a local resort… our faves are The Phonecian, Joya Spa at Montelucia, and The Princess.

For your bestie…

  1. If possible quality time is the best time… find a local spot for a coffee date, wine date, or pizza date?

  2. Flowers! See above.

  3. A little something to wear. My bestie gifted me this “Through Thick and Thin” necklace and it’s my absolute favorite. Or just a sweet friendship bracelet from Pure Vida!

For the kiddos…

Simple and sweet for the kiddos. Every year I decorate the breakfast table with paper hearts (I had cut out years ago and saved). Hang some streamers, serve heart shaped pancakes and strawberry milk, and include a silly card and small gift on each of their plate. The target dollar-spot ALWAYS has random fun valentine’s decor to choose from. Here are some small gift ideas to include:

  1. Bookstore Gift Card

  2. Small Lego Set

  3. Chapsticks

  4. Slippers

  5. Sticker books These are our favorites!

  6. Smoothie Shop or Frozen Yogurt Gift Card
