7 Tips to Style Your Entryway

Designing a beautiful entryway, or foyer, is sometimes overlooked, and given the least amount of thought to. Since it’s the space you pass by quite frequently as you’re on the go, it is a great opportunity for style and function. While a beautiful space is important, it’s also a space you’ll want to keep organized to avoid that build up of purses, backpacks, keys, shoes… you get the idea!

The Lexi Grace Design team is a big proponent of styling a beautiful entryway because it sets the tone for your home and will consciously make you less likely to clutter up a pretty space that you’ve worked so hard to style! .The entry way is generally a smaller area so if you have the itch for refreshing a space, or just need some organizational solutions, this would be a great place to start!

Today, we’re offering 7 tips to style your entryway to keep it organized and pretty! Also, scroll down to shop some of our favorite entryway items!

  1. If space allows, start with a bench, console table or cabinet.

  2. Hang a mirror or art above the bench or table. You can center the mirror, or place it off-center over the table leaving room for larger vases or greens.

  3. Place a small tray or bowl on the table to catch keys, earbuds, and phones as you’re on your way in or out.

  4. We love big beautiful books! Choose one from our favorites and lay it out open to your favorite page.

  5. Something green and alive, of course!

  6. A basket under or next to the bench or table to store shoes, slippers, dog leash and toys.

  7. A tree or floor plant next to the table or bench. Consoles and benches can be expensive. If your budget allows for a smaller one try placing a floor plant or tree in a basket next to the bench to lengthen the visual impact of the bench and fill the space.
